Thanks for coming back to visit! If you would like to be a guest blogger at ArmyHousehold6.com - please let Tammy know!
I was recently approached by Bob Gilead of Camosock.com telling me of his company!I was instantly intrigued. I thought it was just an awesome idea to create stockings out of old military uniforms.
Bob even sent a FREE one to us for SGT Daddy!
Also if you have adopted servicemembers then this is a great addition to their gift boxes! ( don’t have one – click here to adopt one!)
The Navy, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard Christmas stockings are new additions to the Original U.S. Marine CAMOSOCK. All are expertly crafted from the digital uniform fabric worn by each branch of the Armed Forces. All are trimmed in scarlet piping with an embroidered coordinating name tape above the front pocket.
Overall they are 19″ in length and 9″ wide at the top cuff providing ample room for holiday gifts. The front pocket is a great place for a surprise picture, personal note or gift card.
Speaking of Christmas, don’t forget the deadline for packages to be shipped oversears is December 12th.
Here are some tips for what to put in the stockings –
- Candy (bite sized, individually wrapped, all kinds)
- AT&T Phone Cards
- Small, signed Holiday cards from you and your families (include your name and address!)
- Cigarettes / Cigars
- Books, DVD’s , Video games (current titles are greatly appreciated)
- Magazines
- Microwave food items (popcorn, all-in-one pan microwave deserts, heat & eat soups, etc.)
- Cereal bars
- Granola Bars
- Home baked goods
- Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) Gift Cards
- Pre-paid gift cards or gift certificates from American Express, Visa, Amazon.com, or from specific stores – Best Buy, Staples, Barnes & Noble, Circuit City, etc.) These soldiers have a range of things they need or want over the course of their deployments…
Also – don’t forget about Christmas decorations! Look around your house and find something for the troops! You can send small christmas trees, lights, ornaments (make sure they are shatterproof), decor, etc.
