I can tell you that 7 of the 8 families were notified as of this weekend. I know the soldier that was part of the Casualty Notification Team here at Fort Carson. I’m pretty sure all 8 have received notification as of now.

Unfortunately CNN has already leaked the names of the 5 who returned to the states today. There is no official DoD announcement of the 8 yet though.

My heart is so incredibly heavy for the Ft Carson “family!”
