We’re finally home!

Boy it feels really good to say that! We got to Colorado last Monday night and have been busy ever since.

We did some sightseeing at Ft Carson and Colorado Springs on Tuesday. I know everyone told me how pretty it was here but all I can say is WOW! It is gorgeous. We went to a place called Garden of the Gods and its absolutely amazing and breathtaking. (pictures coming as soon as the printer gets hooked up)

On Wednesday, we signed for our house and got the keys! I was never so happy to finally walk through the front door! : ) Thursday morning the movers arrived bright and early to deliver our stuff. Of course, it snowed all day! It was beautiful though! I mean what more could a girl ask for… her personal belongings being delivered AND freshly fallen snow!

Of course nothing goes super smoothly.. SGT Daddy’s pay got messed up somehow (didn’t get our monthly housing allowance ) so he had to go over to Finance to see about a pay advance till they get things all straightened out. It’s ok I guess for this is the first time in 4 years that the Army messed up his pay. I know lots of others who have had lots of other issues with pay and PCS moves. We still haven’t gotten the pay advance yet but they tell us it will arrive in our account by Monday. Thankfully we had some extra money in our account.

We are almost finished unpacking .. only 2 boxes left to unpack. I’m hoping I can get those done today so I can decorate for Christmas this upcoming week.

SGT Daddy isn’t sure yet what unit he is in … his orders still say 4ID so that’s what we are figuring. He’ll know for sure later this week when he finishes inprocessing. So for those who were asking about deployment dates, I don’t know anything definitively yet. As soon as we do, I’ll pass the info along.

Well time to get back to work on “household” stuff… Merry Christmas Everyone!
