We arrived… well to Ft Riley

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I”m thankful that we are finally here at Ft Riley. We’ll be here for a few days visiting SGT Daddy’s brother who is stationed here. I had fully planned on  blogging our trip so far but after driving 6-8 hours a day I was too tired to even do video. I did manage to send a couple of updates through Twitter and Facebook but that was primarily it.

Our trip was pretty uneventful except for the REALLY creepy town we drove thru on Monday night. We crossed into Pennsylvania and decided to start looking for a hotel. We went across a bridge and ran into the thickest fog EVER! So we decide to stop at the next exit because it was a bit scary trying to drive through it.  OMG the town was WORSE! It was like a town out of a John Carpenter movie. Certainly not a place that would help us relax a bit.

Needless to say, after driving thru the town for a few minutes , we decided to go a bit further. We ended staying at a really nice Best Western hotel!

We’ll be staying here at Riley for a few days and head over to Ft Carson after the weekend.  It will be a nice change of pace just to relax instead of worrying about cleaning, driving or anything else.  : )
