I just got another one of those “hey honey guess what ” phone calls from Dan! I have to admit my heart started to sink (thought it new orders or something) but then he said you are going to like this. He is getting promoted to an E4 or Specialist. I’m so excited for him not to mention proud of him. This is not one of those automatic promotions…his NCOIC had to put this one thru. (automatic wouldn’t have happened till Jan 07)

Now he can start attending training schools for BNCOC and PLDC…which will be great for him! (i’m not looking forward to it LOL)

UPDATE!! Husband just called back and told me according to paperwork, he has been an E4 since 1 Aug .. they just never told him! I’m telling ya.. the Army is so backwards sometimes LOL !! : ) The promotion ceremony is Friday morning so I’ll post pictures and video this weekend.

Dan told me a couple a weeks ago about this Dining Out ceremony that they were having for all the Junior Enlisted for WRAMC at Bolling AFB in DC. He told me that he didn’t really want to go but he would if I wanted to…it wasn’t mandatory. I said that we probably shouldn’t b/c the event was the weekend before Becca’s birthday, the same weekend as her party.

Well he came home the other day and said that we sort of have to go now… his NCO paid for our tickets. ($70 per couple) Dan is up for promotion (to SPC) so now we really have to go. Gosh sometimes I just LOVE the Army LOL
To all of you out there that are Army wives… what do you wear to something like this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated….
